About

The project entitled Transdisciplinary Learning in Healthcare Education is a 2-year pioneer dealing with transdisciplinarity in healthcare education. During the project, the partnership will explore, create, test and deliver a model/pattern for transdisciplinary learning activities (both theoretical and practical), blending professional subjects in healthcare, ICT, pedagogy and psychology.

The project is also meant to create the space for sharing innovative practices in healtcare education among the partner institutions.

The project is implemented in transnational partnership by 6 educational institutions from Denmark, Romania, Portugal, Belgium, Spain and Turkiye.

Project objectives

The main aim of the project is to increase the quality and the attractiveness of the education and training provided in the partner schools, as well as to enable transformation and change by introducing a new learning model with long term benefits in terms of results and skills acquired and to better prepare the graduates and the teachers for the realities of today's world.

The specific objectives of the project are:

1. To improve the quality and effectiveness of education in the field of HC (healthcare) by designing a model for transdisciplinary activities (theory and practice) based on the experimental activities organised in the project, a model that will be described in a Handbook on how to organise transdisciplinary learning actvities in HC education.

2. To foster the exchange of good practices among the partners and to support the uptake of the innovative approach of transdisciplinarity by combining their expertise in developing and delivering the project results, by organizing common learning and training activities for teachers and students, using a participatory approach.

Handbook on how to organise transdisciplinary actvities in HC education, available in 8 languages

A collection of 12 models of transdisciplinary activities (6 theoretical and 6 practical) accompanied by their plans.
